What Happens at a Princess Party?

Princess Parties by Natalie works hard to make your child’s birthday party their best ever! Here’s what you can expect to happen when you invite one of our characters to your special event.

Grand Entrance

On the day of your party (unless it’s a surprise), your princess or hero will call your child on the phone and tell them how excited they are that they were invited to their party. Then, at your scheduled time, you’ll get a special knock at the door. Make sure to have your camera ready to capture the squeals and the giggles of excitement! We recommend inviting guests 15 minutes before the princess arrives, so you can make sure and capture all of their sweet reactions.

Coronation Ceremony

Once everyone has been greeted and the initial excitement has subsided, the princess or hero will turn the focus to the birthday child. The Princesses will hold a special coronation ceremony and make your child a “Princess for the Day”. The Heroes will initiate your child into their team and give them a special super hero mask.

Interactive Story

Next, your character will read a story to your guests. (Usually their character’s main story). But they won’t just read it—they’ll sing the songs, they’ll play guessing games, and they’ll add personal details. The guests will LOVE reliving and retelling their favorite stories with the actual princess! It’s so magical.

Games

Then, it’s game time! Your princess or hero will play a series of games with your guests, depending on the type of party you choose and how much time allows. Check out a list of pricing and activities included here. They’ll play a princess song guessing game, a game where everyone can win a ring/bracelet, and some princesses have their own clever games, like “Pumpkin, pumpkin, carriage”!

Pictures and Autographs

Near the end of the party, your character will pose for a group photo and for individual photos with each of your guests, if desired. They can sign autographs as well, and will bring their own autograph cards to send each guest home with a special memory.

Additional Activities (for longer parties)

If your party is 45 minutes or longer, the Princess will provide Princess Training, or the Hero will provide Hero Training. Your guests will practice the perfect curtsy, or master the Spidey pose.

If your party is 1 hour or longer, additional activities, such as balloon twisting, face painting, or a craft can also be added. There is no extra charge, but you will be limited on the number of additional activities, based on the length of party you choose. Check out all of our party package options here.

This is what typically happens at a Princess Party, but it’s YOUR party! If there are activities you’d prefer not to do, or you’d like to have your own activities planned, feel free to let us know! We’ll discuss how to accommodate, though you may need to provide your own materials.
